Bradley Mac Simmons, 65, known affectionately to many as Brad, passed away at his home on June 5, 2026. Born on February 19, 1961, in Murray, Utah, Brad's life was marked by dedication, warmth, and a profound love for those closest to him.
With over 40 years of experience, Brad built a remarkable career as a Product Engineer at Cummins Inc. in Memphis, Tennessee. His commitment and expertise were unmatched, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. Brad's personable nature made him a cherished figure in both professional and personal circles, where he was liked by all who had the privilege to know him.
A loving husband, devoted father, and steadfast friend, Brad leaves behind a profound legacy of kindness and strength. He shared 37 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Marcela Simmons, who stood by his side through every chapter of life. Together, they nurtured their children, Daniel Simmons, Cassandra Simmons, and Jessica Simmons, each of whom carries forward his spirit and values. Brad was also a son to Oneita Simmons and brother to Wendy Simmons, who along with his niece, Emily McCurtain, continue to honor his memory. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Simmons.
Brad’s passions extended beyond his career and family. He found great joy in hunting and fishing, delights that connected him with nature and brought peace to his days. His craftsmanship shone through his woodworking projects, and he took immense pride in restoring and fixing his Jeep, a testament to his hands-on approach and love for detail.
Those wishing to pay their respects can attend the visitation on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed immediately by a Mass at 7:00 PM, both held at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home, located at 2470 Hwy 51 S, Hernando, Mississippi.
Bradley Mac Simmons's life was one of genuine connection, heartfelt service, and unwavering loyalty. His memory will endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, a testament to a life well-lived and a man deeply respected. May he rest in peace.
