Charles Michael St. John, 64, fondly known to many as Mike, passed away at his home in Southaven, Mississippi, on July 29, 2026. Born September 5, 1961, in Memphis, Tennessee, Mike’s life stretched across six and a half memorable decades, marked by steadfast dedication to family, work, and the quiet joys that brought him peace.
A proud graduate of Southaven High School’s class of 1981, Mike moved into adulthood with the steady resolve and kindness that would come to define him. His professional journey led him to a lengthy career as a truck driver, culminating in his retirement from Decker Freight Line. Guided by a strong work ethic, Mike found fulfillment on the open road—a fitting stage for a man who valued both hard work and reflection.
Outside of his work, Mike cherished the simpler moments: fishing, and taking time to watch the world go by. These peaceful pursuits reflected his gentle spirit and appreciation for the world around him. Whether by a quiet riverbank or on his porch, he savored life’s tranquility and taught those around him to find meaning in stillness.
He is survived by his daughters, Jennye Parvin and her husband, Gannon and Jessica Kimery and her husband, Jeff; his brothers, Butch St. John and his wife Diane and Russell St. John and his wife Lynette; and his sister, Rita Swanger St. John. Mike’s legacy continues through his treasured grandchildren: Zoey, Raegan, Sadie, Ellie, and Olivia. Each one carries forward his warmth, humor, and enduring love.
Mike is reunited in peace with his mother, Jennye St. John, his father, John St. John; and his wife, Cynthia Thompson St. John, who preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be held to honor and remember Mike’s life at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Love Cemetery, 6999 McCraken Rd., Hernando, Mississippi.
Charles Michael St. John will be remembered as a devoted family man, a hard worker, and someone who reveled in the calm beauty of everyday moments. His life was an example of quiet strength, sincerity, and a lasting love for those nearest his heart. Those who knew him will carry forward the memory of his kindness, laughter, and gentle wisdom.
