Christopher James Mitchell

Christopher James Mitchell, affectionally known as Chris, went to be in the Loving Hands of Jesus on January 23, 2026, at the age of 40. He was born on 12/30/1985 in Memphis, TN. Chris was dedicated and respected among his family and friends. Leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and kindness.

In his career he demonstrated a commitment to excellence that earned him the admiration of his colleagues and clients alike and developed many long-lasting friendships.

Chris is survived by his loving wife Amanda (Miller) Mitchell, mother Theresa (Bennett) Mitchell, grandparents, Ken & Carol Bennett, sister-in-law Lisa Taylor (Will), brother in law Michael Miller, his loving nephew, Alex, as well as uncles, Mike Bennett (Marjie), Jeff Bennett (Dianna), and David Bennett, manyloving cousins, friends, and co-workers who all mourn his untimely departure.

All are invited to come together in a casual celebration to remember the remarkable life he lived and the indelible mark he left on those around him.

Chris’s spirit will continue to shine through the love and memories shared among those who were fortunate enough to know him.

In honor of Chris, a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 15th at 2pm CT at New Hope Church of the Nazarene where Chris and Amanda attended, located at 4692 Macon Rd, Memphis TN 38122. A potluck will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a favorite charity such as JDRF (diabetes research.)
