David Henry Free

David Henry Free, born on April 1, 1962, in Memphis, TN, passed away on December 13, 2025, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was a respected Maintenance Technician at Riviana Foods in Memphis, where he dedicated his skills and commitment to his craft.

David's life was characterized by his deep love for his family and his passions. He cherished every moment spent with his grandson, Stetson, and took pride in being actively involved in his life. An enthusiast of classic cars, David had a special fondness for his 1987 Monte Carlo Super Sport, which he often enjoyed as a representation of his love for vintage automobiles. Additionally, he found joy in the great outdoors, partaking in hunting and fishing, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and create lasting memories.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jamie Free. David was a proud father to his sons, Steven Free and his wife Ali of Nesbit, MS, and Dalton Free of Southaven, MS. He is also remembered by his siblings, Cathy McPherson, Carol Gorris, and brother Danny Free. David leaves behind his beloved grandson, Stetson.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Catherine Free, who have undoubtedly influenced his life in countless ways.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home, located at 2470 Hwy 51 S, Hernando, MS 38632.
