David Allen Green

David Allen Green, 52, fondly known as Dave, passed away on June 3, 2026, at his home in Walls, Mississippi. Born on March 2, 1974, in Selmer, Tennessee, Dave lived a life marked by a deep love for his family, an enduring passion for music, and unwavering dedication to his craft as a machinist.

Dave devoted the majority of his career to Kellogg's, where he worked as a maintenance mechanic and machinist. His work ethic and skill earned him the respect of his colleagues and reflected his commitment to excellence in all that he undertook. Beyond his professional achievements, Dave’s warm personality and generous spirit were the true measures of his character.

Family was at the heart of Dave’s life. He is lovingly survived by his partner, Veronica Barnes of Walls, Mississippi, who stood by his side in their shared home. His cherished daughter, Emily Green, and his (2) step children, Billie and James Starr who all reside in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the town where Dave once called home before moving to Mississippi. He is also remembered by his brother, Phillip Green of Pocahontas, Tennessee and his (4) grandchildren; Joseph, Dallas, Kellia, and Jaida. Though his parents, Roy and Linda Green of Adamsville, Tennessee, and his wife of 22 years, Kelli Green preceded him in death, their legacy lives on through Dave and his family.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date in Council Bluffs, Iowa, honoring Dave’s memory within the community where he spent meaningful years. Those who knew him will gather to reflect on a life that was rich with love, dedication, and the simple joys of music and craftsmanship.

David Allen Green’s presence will be greatly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of passion and devotion, cherished by his family and friends alike. May he rest in peace.
