Dawn Louise Anderson Kovaloski, 54, a devoted mother and homemaker, passed away peacefully at her home in Hernando, Mississippi, surrounded by loving family on February 25, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 1, 1971, in Northern Cambria, Pennsylvania.
Dawn was a proud graduate of Cambria Heights Senior High School in Patton, PA, where she made lasting memories and friendships that would stay with her throughout her life. After completing her education, she devoted herself to her family, nurturing and supporting them with unparalleled love and dedication.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Kovaloski, and their three children: daughters Natasha Faith Kovaloski (Jaylen Davis) and Catrena Dawn Kovaloski, both of Hernando, MS, and son Hunter James Kovaloski, along with his wife Baylee, of Bowling Green, KY. Dawn was also a doting grandmother to Elijah James Davis, who brought her immense joy.
Her mother, Shirley Anderson of Patton, PA, along with her sisters: Deborah Kelly and her husband Steve of Ohio, Chrissy Irwin of Pennsylvania, Terri Torres and her husband Mike of New Mexico, Emily Jolly (Scott) of Pennsylvania, and Beth Miller and her husband Mike of Ohio, will carry forward her memory. Dawn was preceded in death by her father, David Anderson.
A visitation will be held on Monday March 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, located at 545 E Commerce St, Hernando, MS, 38632. Further services honoring her life will take place in Patton, PA, at Stevenes Family Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in La Jose, PA. Details regarding these services will be updated as they are finalized.
Dawn's warmth, kindness, and strength will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and dedication to her family will continue to inspire those left behind.
