Jami Gibbs Selby, 49, a cherished homemaker and wonderful mother, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, at Shepherd Hospice in Southaven, Mississippi. Born on July 7, 1976, in West Memphis, Arkansas, Jami was a vibrant soul whose exuberance and warmth left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Jami’s life was marked by a genuine dedication to her family and her passions. With a nursing degree from Northwest Mississippi Community College, she possessed a compassionate spirit and a nurturing nature that extended beyond her professional education into her role as a devoted mother. She was highly regarded for her ability to light up the room with her outgoing and free-spirited personality, effortlessly making friends everywhere she went.
A lover of crafting, Jami found joy and solace in creating, expressing her creativity through countless projects that reflected the beauty and love she carried within her heart. Her artistry was a true extension of her spirited character and served as a testament to her unique and joyful approach to life.
Jami is survived by her loving daughters, Mari Madison Selby and Baylee Elizabeth Selby, both residents of Senatobia, Mississippi, who were the center of her world. She is also deeply missed by her mother, Dianne Grant, of Rogers, Arkansas, and her sister, Jessica Gibbs, also of Rogers, Arkansas, who shared in her journey and her joy. She was predeceased by her father, Bobby Gibbs, whose memory she honored throughout her life.
The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date, an opportunity for all who knew Jami to come together and commemorate her spirited life, her boundless kindness, and the indelible mark she left on their hearts.
