Jennye B. St. John

Jennye B. St. John, 90, passed away on February 11, 2026, at the Sardis Community Nursing Home in Sardis, Mississippi. Born on December 4, 1935, in Hernando, Mississippi, Jennye was a retired cashier from the Circle K gas station in Southaven, Mississippi whose warm and vibrant spirit touched the lives of many friends and colleagues over her 15 plus years. 

As an avid fan of sprint cars and dirt track racing, Jennye embodied a love for life that was visible to those around her. Her enthusiasm extended to her appreciation for magnolia trees and the soulful music of Elvis, both of which brought her endless joy. 

Jennye is survived by her family, including her sons Butch St. John and his wife Diane, Mike St. John, and Rusty St. John (Lynette) all of Southaven, MS, her daughter, Rita Swanger of Byhalia, MS, along with eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John St. John, and her parents, Doc and Christine Bobbit. Jennye was also preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy Dennis and Beverly Martin. 

A graveside service will be held in her honor at 11 AM on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Love Cemetery, located at 6999 McCraken Rd., Hernando, MS. Friends and family are invited to gather to pay their respects and celebrate the life of this remarkable woman who will be dearly missed.
