Jesse Hudson

Jesse Allen Hudson, of Independence, Mississippi, passed away on September 26, 2026, after a car accident. He was born on October 3, 1994, in Southaven, and in his 31 years, he built a life marked by steady work and the simple joy of staying busy with the things he loved.

Jesse was a graduate of Independence High School, Class of 2013, and later earned an associate degree from Northwest Mississippi Community College. He was a hard-working mechanic who took pride in his work and genuinely enjoyed working on cars, both on the job and in his shop at home. His hands were rarely still. In his spare time, he enjoyed doing dirt work and was happiest when he had something to build, repair, or improve. He was the kind of person who stayed busy, not out of obligation, but because that was simply who he was.

Above all, Jesse will be remembered for the love he shared with those closest to him. He is survived by his wife, Siera Hudson, and by their son, Dawson Grey Hudson, who was a treasured part of his life. He is also lovingly remembered by his father, Walter Hudson, and his mother, Carolyn Hudson; by his brother, Christopher Hudson and Christopher’s wife, Sara; by his grandmother, Judy Moody; and by his grandfather, Clee Hudson. He also leaves behind his nieces, Gabby and Emma, his godmother, Melissa Patrick, and many cousins and friends who all loved him dearly. The love of his family and friends will remain a lasting part of his memory.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Myra Hudson, and by his grandfathers, James Moody and Claude Barnes. Their memories were part of the family story that shaped his life, and now he is reunited with those who went before him.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home, 2470 Hwy 51 S, Hernando, Mississippi 38632. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date.

Jesse Hudson will be remembered with deep love and gratitude—for his hardworking spirit, for the life he built with his hands, and for the place he holds in the hearts of all who knew him.
