Jo Ann Deshazo Haynes

Jo Ann Deshazo Haynes, a beloved figure in the community and a dedicated professional, passed away on December 6, 2025, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi. Born on November 20, 1944, in Marvell, Arkansas, Jo Ann's early years were filled with the warmth and love of her family, which laid the foundation for a life characterized by compassion and dedication.

Jo Ann's career as a Loan Secretary at Trustmark Bank exemplified her commitment to serving others. Her work not only showcased her professional acumen but also underlined her personal values of integrity and service. She built lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike, leaving a positive mark on all who had the privilege of working with her.

Jo Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Don Haynes; her daughter, Wanda Bernard of Hernando, Mississippi; and her son, Rick Bernard and his wife Emilie, also of Hernando. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Daniel Baumlein, Jason Bernard, and Brittney Bernard, taking immense pride in their achievements and lives.

Siblings Sue Walton of Marvell, Arkansas, and Ronald Deshazo and his wife Charlotte of Gonzales, Louisiana, continue to remember her fondly, as do many friends who were touched by her kindness and warm spirit.

Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Hollis Mayo Deshazo and Louanne Harmon Deshazo, who instilled in her the values of love and community that she carried throughout her life.

Friends and family are invited to honor Jo Ann's memory during visitation on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home, located at 2470 Hwy 51 S in Hernando, Mississippi.

Jo Ann Deshazo Haynes will be remembered not only for her professional accomplishments but also for her nurturing spirit, unwavering support, and dedication to her family and community. Her legacy will undoubtedly live on through the lives she touched.
