Kaye Tune Ross

Kaye Lynn Tune Ross, 69, entered into eternal rest on July 14, 2026. She was born on April 26, 1957, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Kaye left behind a legacy of selfless love, warmth, and devotion. A gifted hair stylist for over 40 years, Kaye did far more than style hair—she built lasting connections. Her chair was a place of comfort, conversation, and community, where clients quickly became lifelong friends. Kaye possessed a rare, deeply empathetic heart; she felt for others profoundly and lived her life caring for those around her with quiet, constant generosity.

Above all else, Kaye cherished her family. She shared a loving marriage with her husband, Brent Ross, whose love and companionship brought her great joy. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jennifer Jernigan (Jackson), and her son, Jason Tune. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Colin Russell Jernigan and Chloe Adeline Hampton, who brought endless happiness and pride to her life.

Kaye is also survived by her mother, Fol Hodge; her twin sister, Kendy Bringhurst (Todd); her niece, Kristen Lane (Joe), and their daughters, Zoe, Evie, and Abigail; her nephew, Drew Bringhurst (Beth), and their children, Briggs and June and also leaves behind her step children and grandchildren of whom she loved dearly, extended family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness and generous heart.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Hodge Jr., and her brother, Eric Hodge.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kaye’s life during visitation on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 4851 Park Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m.
