Linda Kay Leslie, 75, known affectionately as Kay, passed away on June 9, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Born on September 11, 1950, in Oneonta, Alabama, Kay lived a life deeply dedicated to her family, embracing her role as a devoted mother, daughter, and homemaker with unwavering love and commitment.

Throughout her life, Kay was a pillar of strength and warmth for those around her. Her dedication to her family was the cornerstone of her existence, and she cherished every moment spent nurturing and supporting her loved ones. Her legacy is reflected in the close bonds she forged, touching the hearts of many.

Kay is survived by her daughters, Lauren Durham of Walls, Mississippi; Kelly Leslie of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and Jessica Morgan along with her husband John of Houston, Texas. She also leaves behind her sister, Joy Anderson, and brother, Ronnie Strickland. Her family legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: John Leslie III, Dallas Riggs, Lilly Woodard, Haley Timmons, Dexter Leslie, Lexie Garrett, Madeline Silvano, and Jemma Morgan. The great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy include Skylan Leslie, John Leslie IV, Ella Leslie, Myles Riggs, Damien Woodard, and Raven Woodard.

Kay's departure is mourned alongside the memories she shared with her beloved late husband, John Leslie, and her parents, Guthrie and Leatrice Strickland. She was also predeceased by her son, John Leslie III, and siblings Dion Strickland and Tina Strickland, whose memories she held close throughout her life.

Visitation to honor Kay’s life will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home, located at 2470 Hwy 51 S, Hernando, Mississippi. This will be followed by her funeral service at the same location at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Goodrum Memorial Cemetery in Eudora.
