Mamie Lucille Boling

Mar 6, 1936 — Jul 30, 2026

Mamie Lucille Boling, born on March 6, 1936, in Desoto County, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, leaving behind a cherished legacy of love and devotion to family.

Lucille was the beloved daughter of Odis Sexton and Emma Pettit, whose influences shaped her gentle spirit and strong character. Throughout her life, she remained rooted in the values instilled by her parents and carried forward those teachings in her own home and community.

Lucille spent many years as an executive secretary for Dover Elevator, a career she embraced with dedication and took great pride in. Her professionalism, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence earned the respect of those who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Lucille’s life was marked by deep and abiding relationships. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Daniel Boling, with whom she built a loving and welcoming household. Together, they raised their children with unwavering guidance and affection. Lucille mourned the loss of her dear daughter, Nita Boling, as well as her brother, Dempsey Sexton, whose memories she kept close to her heart.

She is survived by her daughters, Dana Richardson and her husband, Mark and Pam Boling; her son, Stan Boling and his wife, Debi. Her brothers, Wayne Sexton and Mark Sexton, continue to honor her legacy by carrying forward the bonds of family that she treasured so deeply.

Lucille found great joy in being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her grandchildren—Josh, Ryan, Nicholas, Brittany, Patrick, Kayla, and Devan (Chasity)—and her great-grandchildren—Lainey, Chase, Lyla, Hayden, and Charlie. Each was a source of tremendous pride and joy for Lucille, and her wisdom, kindness, and gentle humor will be forever carried in their hearts.

Though her loss will be keenly felt, Lucille’s family draws comfort from the many special moments and memories shared with her—her stories, her laughter, and her quiet resilience. The warmth and generosity of her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
