Manning Joyce Pryor, 67, known affectionately as Joyce or “Mimi”, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at AMG Specialty Hospital in Batesville, Mississippi. Born on February 26, 1959, in Alamo, Tennessee, Joyce lived a life marked by warmth, love, and an enduring devotion to her family and community.

Joyce was a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. Her loving presence will be deeply missed by her husband, James Pryor; her daughter, Madison Pryor (Mitchell Seal); and her beloved grandchild, Grayson Lee Andrew Seal, whom she adored dearly. Joyce also leaves behind her devoted parents, Hollis Woods Sr. and Wanda Woods, whose pride in their daughter’s gentle spirit and kindness was evident to all who knew her.

Joyce was a cherished sister to Vera Wammack (Randy); Carol McFarlin and her husband Tim; and Hollis Woods Jr. along with his wife Angela. The bond she shared with her siblings was one filled with affection and mutual support, a testament to the close-knit family Joyce helped nurture throughout her life.

Known for her joyful spirit, Joyce loved to sing at family gatherings, filling the room with her voice and uplifting everyone around her. Her talent and love for music were gifts she shared generously with those fortunate enough to gather in her company. Additionally, she took great pleasure in cooking, often creating heartfelt meals that became the centerpiece of family celebrations and memories. These simple acts of love were expressions of her generous heart and her desire to bring comfort and joy to others.

The visitation to honor and remember Joyce will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home, located at 2470 Hwy 51 S, Hernando, Mississippi. This will be followed immediately by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. Interment will follow at Palestine Cemetery in Coldwater. Friends, family, and all who knew Joyce are invited to attend these services to pay their respects and celebrate a life well-lived.

Joyce’s passing leaves a profound void, yet her legacy of love, devotion, and joyful spirit continues to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. As her family and friends gather to mourn her loss and celebrate her life, they hold fast to the beautiful memories she leaves behind—memories marked by her love for family, her sweet songs, and the nurturing meals she prepared with care.
