Mark Arthur Hansen, born May 2, 1944, in Eureka, California, passed away on October 9, 2026, at Methodist Hospital in Olive Branch, Mississippi.

Mark lived a life shaped by hard work, devotion to family, and the simple things that brought him joy. He graduated from Corona High School in Corona, California, and went on to build a long career in construction. Over the years, he worked both for various companies and in self-employment, spending most of his working life as a drywall contractor. He was known as a man who worked with his hands and took pride in the life he built.

Beyond his work, Mark loved his family deeply. He also enjoyed shooting and spending time at the gun range, and he had a special affection for his dogs, Grantham and Lady, who were a cherished part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rona Hansen; by his parents, Neils and Grace Hansen; and by his siblings, Neil Hansen and Paula Etter.

Mark leaves behind a family who will carry his memory forward with love. He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Wildeman and her husband James, and Patricia Byard. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Marc Wildeman and his wife Kelley, Sarah Bolton and her husband Ryan; Brandon Wildeman and his wife Estrella; Elizabeth Billions and her husband Roy; Cody Wildeman and his partner Dakota; and Emilee and Bennett. He is further survived by his great grandchildren; Ella Grace, Brandon Jr., Nathan, Alex, Dylan, Abigail, Eli, Brooks, Blake, and Paxton, as well as a great-grandchild on the way, Jr.

He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Each of them shared in the bond of family that meant so much to him, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home, 2470 Hwy 51 S, Hernando, MS 38632. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home.

Mark Arthur Hansen will be remembered for his love of family, his steady work ethic, and the many lives touched by his presence. His memory will remain a lasting blessing to those who were fortunate enough to know him.
