Nicholas Joseph Speltz

Nicholas Joseph “Nick” Speltz, 85, passed away on September 24, 2025 at his home in Nesbit, Mississippi surrounded by his family. He was born on July 2, 1940 in Memphis, Tennessee, graduated from Christian Brothers High School, earned his bachelor’s degree in forestry from Mississippi State University, was the President of Speltz Plywood in Memphis, Tennessee and retired from the State of Mississippi Department of Health where he worked as a inspector.

Visitation will be from 10 am until a Celebration of Life Funeral Mass at 11:30 on Monday - September 29, 2025 at Christ the King Catholic Church - 785 Church Road West - Southaven, Mississippi. Interment will follow at New Bethlehem Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter, Courtney Garner and her husband, Kenneth and his (2) sons, Greg Speltz and his wife, Linda and David Speltz and his wife, Suzanne all of Nesbit, Mississippi. He also leaves behind his brother, Mike Speltz and his wife, Pat Ann of Germantown, Tennessee, his (5) grandchildren, Lindsey Allen, Jake Speltz, Kendyl Hunsucker, Racheal Bennett and Nick Speltz and (8) great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie Speltz and his parents, Leo and Helen Speltz.
