Ola Brown Anderson, of Southaven, Mississippi, passed away on October 30, 2026, at her home. She was born on March 21, 1935, in Conway, Arkansas, and lived a life marked by resilience, warmth, and a spirit that drew others in.

She worked as a store clerk at Wal-Mart, bringing to her work the same steady dedication that shaped every part of her life. A hard worker in every sense, she raised three children as a single mother, carrying the responsibilities of family life while also meeting the demands of full-time work. She did so with determination and strength, creating a lasting example of perseverance for those who knew and loved her.

Ola possessed an infectious sense of adventure, and her love of traveling brought a spark that brightened every room she entered. Outgoing and deeply resilient, she was always in motion, meeting life with an energy that inspired others. Even amid a full and busy life, she understood the comfort of a quiet moment. She was an avid reader who found great joy in a good book, especially the novels of James Patterson. Her fierce independence, boundless energy, and devotion to her family leave a legacy that will continue to be felt for years to come.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Holliman and her husband Larry of Southaven, Mississippi, and Susan Edwards and her husband Harold of Bartlett, Tennessee. She also leaves her brother, Smith Lee Brown and his wife Nancy of Oakland, Tennessee; her sisters, Doris Pilgrim of Gulfport, Mississippi, Paula Zubiete of Munford, Tennessee, Margaret Absher of Munford, Tennessee, and Roselle Revelle of Cordova, Tennessee. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Tracy Gray, Bryan Berretta, Nathan Berretta, Brittany Jackson,  Ashlee Sanders, Stacie Rolan, and Carley Holliman as well as (13) great-grandchildren. In each of their lives, her strength, love, and lively spirit remain a treasured part of her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Gifford Anderson; her parents, Burl and Verna Brown; her son, Robert Nichols; and her sisters, Patsy Lemon and Judy Mount. Their memories remained part of the story she carried throughout her life.

No services are scheduled at this time. Ola Brown Anderson will be remembered as a woman of courage and motion, a loving mother and grandmother, and a person whose adventurous heart and steadfast spirit left an enduring light in the lives of those who knew her.
