Pamela Sue Jenkins, 66, passed away on October 10, 2026, at Diversicare of Southaven. She was born on October 7, 1960, in Springfield, Missouri, and lived a life marked by devotion to family, a warm spirit, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.
Pamela graduated from Mulberry High School in Mulberry, Arkansas. Through the years, she worked as a waitress at various restaurants, serving others with the steady care and friendliness that so often define that calling. She also spent time as a manager at Ziker Cleaners in Elkhart, Indiana. In both her work and her daily life, she carried herself with an energy that connected her to people and made her presence memorable.
She found delight in music and loved to sing, blessed with a beautiful voice. She also loved sports, especially baseball, softball, and college sports, and was a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. She enjoyed Bingo as well, one more way she embraced laughter, companionship, and the pleasures of ordinary days.
Above all, Pamela’s life was deeply rooted in family. She is survived by her mother, Sue Spears; by her sons, Joshua Spears and his wife Alaine of Union City, Tennessee, and Donnie Brown and his wife Amanda of Milford, Indiana; by her daughters, Melissa Shingledecker of Milford, Indiana, and Kimberly Ramsdell and her husband Ryan of Vail, Arizona; by her brother, Don Spears; and by her grandchildren, David Wornell, Estele Wornell, Lily Shingledecker, Bella Shingledecker, Sam Ramsdell, Mikaela Ramsdell, Liam Brown, River Brown, Valerie Brown, Judah Brown, Sailor Brown, and Lennon Brown. The love of these family ties stands as a lasting reflection of the life she lived and the place she held in the hearts of those around her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Jenkins; her biological father, Leonard Crawford; the father who raised her, Bill Spears; and her granddaughter, Addie Mae Ramsdell. Their memories remained part of her story, and now that story rests with them in peace.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Glenn’s Chapel Church, 8235 MS-301, Lake Cormorant, Mississippi 38641. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church.
Pamela will be remembered for her voice, her love of the game, her enjoyment of life’s familiar pleasures, and the enduring bond she shared with those she loved. Her memory will continue to live on in the family she cherished and in the many lives touched by her presence.
