Patrick Tyler Scroggins

Patrick Tyler Scroggins, born on February 21, 1989, in Grenada, Mississippi, tragically passed away on January 17, 2026, after a car accident. His departure leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew him.

Patrick was a dedicated professional, having worked in security and surveillance for Hollywood Casino and Gold Strike Casino in Tunica, MS. A proud graduate of Hernando High School, he continued his education at Ole Miss and finished with a bachelor's degree from Delta State University. His academic journey was a testament to his commitment to his personal and professional growth.

An avid Ole Miss fan, Patrick also found joy in music. He played in the band during his time at Hernando High School and at Ole Miss, where he created lasting memories that he cherished throughout his life.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Paty Hernandez-Scroggins, his Nanny, Lynda Jordan and his parents, Jimmy and Nellie Goodman. Patrick is also survived by his sons, Gregory Cornwell and Nicholas Cornwell, as well as a baby on the way, a blessing that will forever remain in the hearts of his family.  Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his brothers, Jared Meeks and his family, and Joseph Goodman and his family.

Patrick was predeceased by his grandparents, Bill and Nancy Worley, whose memories he held close throughout his life.

While Patrick's time with us was far too short, his impact on those around him will endure. His dedication to family, friends, and his passions will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The Family will have a celebration of life memorial service at a later date.
