He was born on November 13, 1961, in Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated from Southaven High School in Southaven, Mississippi. He was known for his strong work ethic, his ability to solve any problem, and his deep commitment to providing for his family. Richard was a devoted husband, father, and brother, and he was affectionately known as “Poppi” by his grandchildren.

His greatest pride and joy were his girls and his grandbabies, whom he loved fiercely. He was hardworking, tender-hearted, and always willing to lend a hand — traits that touched everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Elizabeth Catlett, and his sister, Linda Busby.

Richard will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his kindness, his humor, and the profound love he had for his family.
