Robert Douglas Dodds, affectionately known as Doug, passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on February 17, 1950, Doug dedicated much of his life to his career as a truck driver for Accelerated Inc. in Memphis, Tennessee. He was admired for his commitment and work ethic, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike throughout his years on the road.

Doug served his country honorably in the United States Army, a testament to his dedication and sense of duty. His military service was a source of pride for him and his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Annie Dodds, and their daughters, Jan Cisnerois and Kelly Sizemore. His legacy continues through his sons, Jeff Whittington, Randy Dodds and his wife Bonita, and Adam Dodds. Doug's brother, William Dodds, also cherishes the memories they shared. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his grandchildren, including Emily Warren, Christina Smith, Britney Baldwin, James Whittington, Randy Dodds Jr., Cody Dodds, Robbie Dodds and his wife, Cheyenne, Matthew Dodds, Karie Sizemore, and Katherine Sizemore, as well as his great-grandchildren, Madison Burdett, Clara Mae Warren, Hawk Lowe, Hudson Douglas Baldwin, Hazel Grace Dodds, Kalli Sizemore, Eli Teague, and Grayson Whittington.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Elsie Dodds, as well as his sisters, Alice and Martha Dodds, brothers, Allen Dodds Jr., Preston Dodds, and Herman Dodds and his grandson Fred Sizemore III.

While there will not be a traditional service, the family has planned a celebration of life memorial to honor Doug’s memory at a later date. He leaves behind a loving family and a wealth of cherished memories that they will carry forward in their hearts.
