Stanley Ernest Poe

Stanley Ernest Poe, 67, born on September 2, 1958, in Memphis, TN, passed away on January 27, 2026, at his home in Coldwater, MS, following a tragic house fire. He was a dedicated craftsman who spent many years working for Warner Brothers Heating and Air, where he was skilled in installing sheet metal ductwork.

Stanley was not only known for his professional talents but also for his deep love of family and leisure. He is survived by his daughter, Katie Vespo of Coldwater, MS, his grandchildren, Keagan, Kami, and Haylea, and his great-grandchildren, Ava, Aryah, and Ivy as well as his brother-in-law Matt Rogers. His relationships with them were filled with laughter, support, and joy.

In his personal pursuits, Stanley found pleasure in the great outdoors, often indulging in fishing. He also had a passion for music and was an avid supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, sharing his enthusiasm with those around him. His beloved dog, Rowdy, was a constant companion, providing comfort and companionship throughout his life.

Stanley is preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Poe and his parents, Ernest and Mary Poe. He also lost a brother, Silva Poe, who, along with Stanley, shared in many family memories.

His services will be held at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home located at 2470 Highway 51 South in Hernando, MS. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who will be dearly missed.
