Sylvia Elizabeth Lee passed away June 26th, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of unwavering devotion, strength, and selfless care. She was a caregiver in every sense of the word, dedicating her life to those she loved most. She faithfully cared for her mother, her husband, her children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always putting the needs of other before her own.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray Lee; her children, Terry Lee, Kenny Lee, Ricky Lee and Mona Tomsen; her grandson, Joel Lee; her siblings, Letti Britt, Debra Williams and Tren Coleman.
She is survived by her sons, Buddy Lee and David Lee; her siblings, Edna McDaniels, Myrt Boyer, and Laura Webb; her grandchildren, J.T. Lee, Jennifer Harbor, Amanda Lee, Rocky Lee, Joshua Lee, Brittany Lee, Ray Lee, Richard Lee, Tyler Lee, Maranda Pounders and Misty Moore; along with 16 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her tremendous joy.
Throughout her life, Sylvia endured unimaginable loss. She mourned the passing of her husband, several of her children, and a beloved grandchild, carrying more grief than most could ever bear. Yet through every hardship, she remained steadfast, continuing to show up for her family with love, strength and grace.
She was known for her honesty, her direct nature, and her unfiltered wisdom. Beneath that strong spirit was a heart filled with deep, unwavering love for her family.
Sylvia's greatest accomplishment was the family she loved so fiercely. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her compassion, resilience and unconditional love.
She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and loved beyond words.
A graveside service will be held on July 1, 2026 at Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS at 1:00 p.m.
