A proud graduate of Durant High School in Durant, Mississippi, Teresa dedicated much of her life to nurturing her home and those she loved. Her gentle spirit and heartfelt passions were evident to all who knew her. She delighted in cooking, filling her home with the comforting aromas of her kitchen, and found joy in singing and playing music, sharing her talents with family and friends. Above all, Teresa loved spending time with her grandchildren, whose presence brought light and laughter to her days.
Teresa’s enduring legacy is reflected in the close bonds she shared with her family. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Russell Lee, who stood steadfastly by her side. Their life together was blessed with the love of their daughter, Lauren Lee, and her husband, Paul Woods. Teresa also leaves behind her sisters, Edy Weaver and her husband Allen, and Debbie Mounger and her husband Bobby, as well as her brother, Ellis Hines. Her grandchildren—Joshua, Kennedy, and Waylon—were the pride and joy of her later years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dorothy Hines, whose memories she cherished deeply throughout her life. Teresa also mourned the loss of her beloved daughter, Olivia Lee, who passed before her.
The family will honor Teresa's memory with a graveside service on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Seneasha Cemetery, located on Attala Road in Goodman, Mississippi. The service will provide an opportunity for all who knew her to reflect on a life filled with love, kindness, and music.
