Theresa Chua

Theresa Chua (née Cheong Poh-Lan), 83, born on January 31, 1943, in Singapore, passed away peacefully at her home in Horn Lake, Mississippi, on February 26, 2026. She was 83 years old.

Theresa dedicated a significant portion of her professional life to working for Kodak, where she contributed her talents and passion. Her work ethic and commitment to her career were evident to all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lyehuat Chua, and her daughters: Emily Friedman and her husband Alan of New York, NY; Martha Chua of Horn Lake, MS; and Ruby Chua of New York, NY. Theresa's family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Cheong. Their legacy and guidance were paramount in her life and were carried with her throughout her journey.

Visitation services for Theresa will be held at Brantley Phillips Funeral Home in Hernando, Mississippi, on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Theresa Chua (née Cheong Poh-Lan) will be remembered as a loving mother and a loyal friend. She loved roses, traveling, and having new experiences and meeting new people. She will be dearly missed.
