Tonya Renee Lewis Mabry

Tonya Renee Lewis Mabry, 52, born on October 22, 1973, in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on March 28, 2026, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi. She was a devoted mother, a loving soul, and a cherished friend whose kindness and creativity touched the lives of all who knew her.

Tonya was known for her warm and friendly nature, always greeting others with a smile and an open heart. She had a profound love for animals and was deeply compassionate in caring for them, reflecting her nurturing spirit. Her creative and artistic talents were a testament to her vibrant personality, inspiring those around her to appreciate beauty in everyday life. Tonya delighted in the simple pleasures of life, such as enjoying morning coffee with her mother and indulging in her love for shopping.

She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Marsha Lewis; her sister, Amy Thompson; and her beloved children— (3) sons Devin Bradsher (Emily Moretta), Eric Wheat and his fiancée Kourtnei Resmini, Arron Wheat; and (2) daughters Christina Wheat and Brittany Wheat. Tonya’s legacy continues through her dear grandchildren, Dixie Bradsher, Eli Bradsher, Runa Wheat, and Bella Schendorf, who will carry forward her spirit and warmth. Her nieces Kirsten McVey and her husband Tim, Elizabeth Williams and Joanna Smith, along with her great-nephew Easton Lee-Lewis Graves, also hold her close in their hearts. Additionally, she is remembered by her brother-in-law, Jody Smith.

Tonya was preceded in death by her father, Mark Lewis, and James Wheat, the father of her children.

Friends, family, and community members are invited to honor Tonya’s life with a visitation on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed immediately by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The ceremonies will be held at Greenleaf Methodist Church, located at 3004 Greenleaf Rd, Coldwater, MS 38618. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. In loving tribute to Tonya’s favorite color and vibrant personality, the family requests attendees to wear pink in her memory.
